The First King

"No other author was entrusted to recount the tales of King Eltrys. I was invited by the king himself, allegedly because he found many of my fictional stories entertaining. He claimed that during his war against the Freemarches he would often read my books, particularly my 'Oathbreaker' series. Perhaps he saw himself in some of those characters, although I shudder to think which ones. I was told he trusted no other soul to tell his lifes story. Who was I to refuse? I prepared myself to travel from the far west in Wyzia immediately. King Eltrys invited me for two days to stay at his castle in the capital city of Wayrest. No more, no less. In that time every measure was taken to make me feel as though I was the queen of Stormholde. And I did. We talked about a great deal during my stay. And I am proud to share his story with the world."
