Chapter 6: A deadly dinner
Compliments to the chef.
A feast filled with nobles. All of which can easily be made allies...or enemies. Fortunately for some, none will be leaving this table alive.

Part 1: cocktail hour
The party gets invited by Mayor Durgin to eat with the nobles. At the same time, 2 wagons drawn by horses arrive in front of the manor escorted by a massive robotic creature and 2 warforged. Durgin's modron assistant announces the names of several dignitaries that arrive including: Mr. Jeremy Thatcher, Lady Roux, Lord Rivek, and Master Leviticus. They each have their own sentiment about the travels with Rivek commenting on how he could have improved the wagon while Lady Roux questions why they would stop in such a backwater village.
Rivek responds by explaining that he has business to conclude with the mayor, Durgin, and that it was on the way to their meeting that is taking place in the city of Skywatch.
Cyrell, hearing the name Leviticus, casts invisibility on himself and disappears, asking twitch to cause a distraction as he casts the spell. Twitch decides to fall face first into the mud screaming as he does so. For most, this ruse would have been immediately found out and to Thatcher's credit, he questions what kind of a carnival Durgin was hosting here, but Durgin is quick on his feet to support the party yelling at Twitch to go inside and continue cleaning, referring to Twitch as a slave which might have saved Durgin and Twitch's skin.
Cyrell, invisible, waits for a time before retreating across the street to the inn where he explains that he is taking a room for the day, paying a gold piece way above the price of the room to do so in order to prepare a ritual spell over the next hour.
Twitch runs inside the house to put on a disguise kit to hide himself from being recognized as a goblin while Durgin panicks over what is going on. He asks Zephr to go and round up the villagers, letting them know that they are welcome to the dinner.
Part 2: cooking class 101
The party gets involved in a cooking challenge to prepare food for the nobles since Durgins only chef called out sick. Twitch makes a disgusting meal that is way to grotesque to serve while Namira makes a near perfect dish and Cyrell makes one impressive for somebody who has likely never cooked for themselves before. Durgin happily serves the meals, excluding Twitchs, to the nobles inviting the party to join them at the table. The party decides to escape out the window while they have the moment to themselves to do so.
Part 3: A dinner to die for
Escaping out the window, the party decides how they will best get out of the manor beyond the fence that surrounds it and past Seven, the Warforged Titan that is guarding at the front door. They take a long time to decide, and in the time that passes Seven is heard bursting through the front of the manor followed by screams coming from inside the house. The modrons have gone rogue and are exterminating everyone inside. Rivek casually walks past Seven, who is setting fire to the
