Cyrell Starwell
Cyrell Starwell should need no introduction. The Starwells have alwasy been known for their magical ability, Cyrell, however, was the exception. Born with little innate magical talent, Cyrell worked tirelessly to unlock magical potential that ran in his families blood. He enrolled in the Sorcerers guild at a young age, but lacked any inherent magical ability. His older brother, Cyreks, tried to teach him on his own to little effect.
While exploring one of the many dusty libraries within the Sorcerers guild, Cyrell discovered an ancient tome that contained dark eldritch knowledge. Upon unlocking the book, an ancient creature made a bargain - Cyrell's body as a host in exchange for the creatures knowledge, including in the arcane. Cyrell used his newfound abilities to rapidly progress himself through the sorcerer guilds ranks eventually becoming the grand sorcerer himself much to the surprise of his brother.
As grand Sorcerer, Cyrell worked to ensure that the Sorcerers Guild was accepting of all races and levels of ability encouraging co-operation amongst his students as much as knowledge. In an effort to express true reformation, he renamed the Sorcerers Guild to "The Sanctum."
Cyrell's leadership over "The Sanctum" was also able to stave off Imperial rulership over his guild for some time. Over the years, whether through hubris or perhaps complacency, Cyrell was unable to notice work that was going on behind the scenes to undermine his rulership. One fateful night, Cyrell's steward, Leviticus, put his own plans into action as he allied himself to the Empire and absorbed Cyrell's power and severed the connection to his patron before banishing him to another plane. Or so Leviticus thought. Unfortunately, Leviticus was not able to fully grasp the newfound power and Cyrell was only cast away to a miniverse that proved much easier to escape.
Cyrell now seeks to reclaim his power and his title with his own personal war against Leviticus. He found allies in a motley crew of miscreants and first-time adventurers including Twitch the goblin, Nymira the elf, Zeetus the halfling (and Cyrell's personal chef) and Seven the warforged, and Davina the half-elf.
Cyrell has proven multiple times he is able to easily navigate through political diplomacy (despite detesting politics) better than that of his short-tempered companions. He has also consistently displayed a willingness to help all races and has stood up for Twitch when others have expressed...concerns about his goblin heritage.
